PINK PHOTOS

Here is a photo of the Dice Divas! T-shirts read "STOP THE WAR IN MY-RACK."
"We walked in the Relay for Life earlier this year in support of our friend Laura.
We are ready for the "fight!"

This photo of our staff was taken in early June in honor of Pat Anker, one of our long-term board members who is recovering from breast cancer. We sent her the photo and a get well card signed by all the staff as she was recovering from surgery. Pat just finished her radiation and physical therapy this week and is doing really well. She’s been an inspiration to all of us!

"This is MY month! I am a 2.5 year Survivor of Inflammatory breast cancer! When I was little and had red hair (before my bald chemo days!) I was told that red heads shouldn't wear pink. But now, I "pink out"! And so do my Co-Survivors, my wonderful husband Bill and my daughter Molly and even my dog Baby!"

Dan's wife Trish at the Komen Indianapolis Race for the Cure.
Trish is a 4 year cancer survivor! Thanks Dan.

We are into the second week of October - LRD's Pinktober celebration. Within the past week alone, LRD's Mammography Assistance Program has helped four women to find their breast cancers. That is four women whose lives have been turned upside down in the past week alone. While I know the next several months will prove to be a huge challenge for these wonderful women, I'm so thankful for the support LRD receives from our community. If it weren't for the Mammography Assistance Program at LRD these women would not have received the services they needed to find their cancers early. Please think of these four newly diagnosed women and remember your blessings. Thank you.
