15 months ago, I received the phone call we all fear:
"I’m so sorry, Nancy, it’s malignant."
I was in Dr. Goulet’s office before I had time to absorb or process this life-altering news. I was now on the fast track for breast cancer treatment and healing. He sits next to me to talk (unlike many doctors who stand on the other side of the room). His voice is calm and reassuring. He patiently answers my questions and always has a resident under his wing, always teaching, always explaining. The thing that has been most comforting is that Dr. Goulet’s guideline for my care is the same as it would be if I was part of his family. Because now I am. And I always feel better when I see him.
